A new direction for TNA?
With recent reports that Vince Russo is wanting a different role within the company and the confirmed firing of Ed Ferrara from the creative department (along with the rumors that Kevin Sullivan might be taking his spot at the table) could we be on the verge of a change in TNA? And if so, will this help or hurt the company?

RE: A new direction for TNA?
Kevin Sullivan would be a very good "get" for TNA.

RE: A new direction for TNA?
Sullivan would be better than Russo. I'd like to say that's in my opinion, but truth is it might be fact.

nothing can help TNA short of a double barrelled shotgun to the back of the neck.

RE: A new direction for TNA?
Define irony. Vince Russo telling us how we don't care to see a foreign wrestler in America, while using a heavy Italian accent. (I know it's Brooklyn, but I wanna nitpick. Russo deserves it.)
I have a theory that Russo just somehow came out of nowhere and claimed that he wrote WWF television for 2 years. That somehow, he had nothing to do with the Attitude Era and for some reason, somebody somewhere thought he did so he turned it into a career. "Hey, I've edited WWF Magazine...that means I'm a WRITER!" *adds to resume and sends in with WCW application* "You think I could get away with using Jim Cornette as a reference?" RE: A new direction for TNA?
Vince Russo is the George Lucas of wrestling. His early work was great, but whatever talent he once possessed was lost long ago. With Russo gone, TNA can only improve.

Russo I get, but why is it so trendy to hate on Hogan these days?

RE: A new direction for TNA?
I've hated on Hogan since 1986 (with a respite from '96-'98).

Eff that, man. Hogan is one of my favorites. I'm even wearing a Hulkamania shirt as I type this.

RE: A new direction for TNA?
I've been a Hulk Hogan fan since I was young really. I didn't really watch Hulk Hogan wrestle much if at all, but I very well knew the name when I was younger, so I knew who he was.
I think people are too hard on Hogan sometimes. ![]() Graphic was made by the one and only Thatcher Rex. |

And the truth is, a lot of us wouldn't even be watching wrestling let alone playing this game if it wasn't for what Hogan has been able to accomplish in his wrestling career. He captured the imagination of wrestling fans in the eighties and Hulkamania was unlike anything we had ever seen before or will ever see again. He gave wrestling another huge boost in the nineties with his heel turn and nWo activities. Now, because TNA hasn't exactly taken off yet people act like Hogan is a cancer and he is the reason it is failing. These are the same people who claim Hogan killed WCW. ![]() IT AIN'T BRAGGIN' IF YOU BACK IT UP!!!! |

Hogan didn’t invent the wheel when it came to wrestling, but he’s the one who made it part of pop culture. He put wrestling on the map like no other wrestler has, backstage politics aside. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

RE: A new direction for TNA?
There can be no arguements about this point though. As bad as TNA was before Bischoff/Hogan arrived, they have been much, much worse since their arrival.
Oh and Keebs. My mom says "Hi".

She pays for everything, signs off on all of it. Last i checked, she's the one at the top. Responsibility flows up to her.
