**ALL READ** - Roster-Based Question

After some discussion, we wanted to bring a question to everyone's attention for deliberation. We ask for everyone's vote on this.

Tim Kamen, our financial backer, has been wanting to come back into roleplaying a character part time. However, he is afraid that if we were to allow him to come into Evolution Wrestling as a character, that it may appear that it is breaking his "Staff as a Character" ruling due to his Board Admin status.

In regards to "Staff as a Character", this involves those that are in direct control of rankings, titles, and other ideals that are considered key in eFedding. If Mike as Johnny Rotten, or I as any of my characters, were to vie for a title, it would look as if we are giving ourselves title shots. Then if, if we were to win the belt, it would look BEYOND fixed..

The biggest fear that Tim has with even wanting to do this is that he would be viewed as breaking his own "Staff as a Character" rule.

Tim actually running this place is purely cosmetic. Both Mike and I have reviewed this issue, and would like to reinforce the fact that Tim actually has really ZERO authority in Evolution Wrestling's day-to-day administration. Tim pays for our web-hosting and processes board maintainence as necessary to ensure we are always running. However, updating on the website, roleplay voting, processing results, and other major decisions are currently decided only by Mike and I. The only time Tim has ever come into play is when a major issue involving the boards, the webspace, or a major issue (such as a possible fed name change, for example) that should understandably include him arises.

Mike and I have agreed that letting Tim join the roster would not be a violation of his "Staff as a Character" rule. We can always use more wrestlers in the roster, and Tim is an excellent roleplayer.

Please review and provide a "Yay" or "Nay", with a description on why you voted as such. If you need a further explanation before voting, please let us know.

In any situation like this, the question is always will it be impossible to TRULY be impartial in regards to the matches of the founder of the site, even on a subconscious level. That being said, I have no doubts that the staff has the experience and the maturity to handle such a situation and my vote is.....

I have no problem with it. I could see how some people would assume, what with him being the owner and all, but Tim isn't truly part of the staff. It's like holding a tournament in Tim's backyard. Yes, he owns the place, but he is not one of the judges. Therefore, I see no violation of the rule. He could sway the decision by saying "let me win or I stop paying for it," but really, he doesn't come off as that kind of guy. And the current staff doesn't come off as the type of people who would give into that even if he were. So my vote is yes.

Although minus Madman and the rest of the other staff members, I think we have a pretty clear picture everyone is pretty cool with Tim coming in. At this point, I'm going to call it.

Tim: Create a poster name for your character and post your app, please.

If there is any opposition, please state at any time and why. However, it does appear we have a majority rule to allow it.

Yeah, I'm a day or two late, my apologies. But I figured I'd at least let you know that I don't have an issue with it. Hell, I'd say he should get to be active JUST BECAUSE he pays for the hosting. But why drag out a conversation where I already agree with pretty much everything already said?
